In this age of MTV,
YouTube, and Survivor, who would think that there’s still plenty of people who
are dedicated to producing stories told exclusively through sound? Among them
is FinalRune Productions (http://www.finalrune.com), an effort by Mainer
Frederick Greenhalgh who’s been in love with the medium since his first story
about a young man lost in New Orleans looking for his missing girlfriend.
Eccentric, genre-busting works have followed in the months since then, and his
site features plenty of completed stories, thoughts and analysis of the radio
drama form, and lots of web resources. He also hosts a regular show on
Portland, Maine’s community radio station WMPG, Radio Drama Revival! Radio
Drama Revival! airs Thursday, 1PM on 90.9/104.1, streams at WMPG.org, and is
podcast from an accompanying blog at
www.radiodramarevival.com.
Fred believes strongly in the power of story, and has dedicated his efforts to
creating, and sharing, the best of them.
